Keeping Your Pet Healthy with Vaccinations

At Kenwood Animal Hospital, we care about your pet’s health and wellbeing. Vaccinations are an important part of preventative care that helps protect your cat, dog or other pet from many dangerous and potentially fatal diseases.

We recommend core vaccines for all pets based on lifestyle risk factors, as well as non-core vaccines that may be suggested depending on where you live, where you travel with your pet, and what activities you enjoy together.

Core Vaccines

Dogs: Distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, parainfluenza, bordatella, Lyme and rabies vaccines

Cats: Panleukopenia, herpesvirus, calicivirus and rabies vaccines

We follow American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) guidelines in developing our customized vaccination protocols to maximize immunity for your pet. Puppies and kittens require a series of vaccinations on a set schedule for maximum protection. Adult pets require timely vaccine boosters.

The veterinarians and staff at Kenwood Animal Hospital are happy to explain the vaccination options we recommend so you can make the best decisions for your furry family members. We want to partner with you to prevent illness and keep your pet healthy and active as long as possible.

Please call or visit us online today to learn more about vaccinations or to make an appointment for this critical component of preventative care. We look forward to seeing your pet!
