Dr. Tanner is an experienced veterinarian joining Kenwood Animal Hospital, coming from a small-animal practice in Northern Virginia. Her professional interests include internal medicine and preventative care, with a strong passion for dentistry and oral surgery. Fear Free™ certified, Dr. Tanner is committed to minimizing fear, anxiety, and stress for pets during every visit. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Florida State University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia–Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. Outside the clinic she enjoys time outdoors with her family—especially downhill skiing and hiking. She grew up around every imaginable creature, but her one and only pet (for now) is a wily cat named Oliver.
