Meet Beatrix Beri, CPDT-KA, UW-AAB
Bea began her career in tourism and hospitality, shifting in 2016 to work with dogs full-time out of her love for pets. After gaining hands-on experience at several locations, studying canine behavior, and apprenticing as a trainer at a Maryland dog rescue, she became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer through CCPDT in 2020.
Bea, passionate about science, earned a certificate in Applied Animal Behavior from the University of Washington to deepen her knowledge of canine behavior. This enables her to provide reliable information to other dog lovers about dog behavior.
Bea has been surrounded by pets since childhood. She fell in love with her family’s first pet, a rescued Dachshund mix named Betty, when she was a 10-year-old child. She has since raised two other dogs, including her nine-year-old Doxie, Simon. Bea is particularly enthusiastic about puppy socialization, especially for small breeds. She hopes to help bridge the communication gap between handlers and dogs through heartfelt training in both private and group classes.
Over the past decade, Bea has worked with various family dog businesses, including Doggywalker.com in Arlington, Life of Riley in Rockville, Canine Humane Network in Howard County, Dog Latin Dog Training in Bethesda, and, since 2024, Furever & Fur Always Wedding Day Dog Care LLC. She is now pursuing continuing education credits for the CBCC (Certified Behavior Consultant-Canine) certification to support complex behavior modification cases.
When she is not passionately helping other dog lovers, Bea enjoys spending time with Simon, going on hikes or other adventures with her doggie friends, traveling, cooking, puzzling, crafting, or frequenting fitness classes.

Beatrice is great. She is so knowledgeable, kind, patient, and helpful. She is very generous with her help. I tried to learn as much as I could about training my dog on my own but having someone guide you one on one is invaluable and I feel so grateful that I found K9 Trix and Training. I've only had one session but saw a huge difference in my dog and in myself. Beatrice gave me the confidence and tools I need to help my dog live a happy and safe life and I can't wait to see her again and continue working with her. I've always been a dog person. My family have had over 7 dogs (we currently have two). I thought I could train my dogs by myself but there are some times where you need guidance and support. Beatrice is a great coach and gave me that guidance that I needed in our first session. Most of the training places that I contacted use e-collars and while that may be fine for some bigger dogs, I didn't feel like it was appropriate for my small dog. I tried to explain my concern to those companies but they still insisted on the collar. I almost gave up hope on finding a trainer who uses a different method and was very grateful when I found K9 Trix and Training who encourages patience and positivity. Again, we've only had one session and plan on having a few more but I'm so happy with what weve done so far and my dog showed some progress that I've never seen before.

I have a Lab, Pomeranian and husky mix. She is 100% SASSY! I worked with her ALOT when she was a puppy so she knew some but not a lot. There were some areas where I didn't know which avenue to go to try to teach her since I was getting so much conflicting research. Miss Thing has been the MOST STUBBORN husky I have had to train. BUT after taking these classes OMG what a change. She is a much better listen because we are both on the same page with commands and techniques. Beatrix is a trainer that will listen and give you so many different things to try. She will answer your questions to the fullest! It also helps that a lot of the dogs in her class where around the same age as her too. Another thing that helped too was after class she allowed the dogs to play with each other! So it was like training and play time so my Kookie Monster enjoyed coming back each week. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend signing up for ANY dog training class with K9 Trix & Training LLC!

We can't thank Beatrix enough for the helpful information and training tips that she shared with us. She is passionate about her love of animals and taught us the rationale behind the training, which has improved our relationship with our new pup. We look forward to booking additional training sessions in the near future.
